Green Globe Artichoke seeds - 35 seeds per packet
Green Globe Artichoke seeds produce crops that are a great delicacy, steamed or boiled and served with melted lemon butter or hollandaise sauce.
Artichoke seeds produce beautiful perennial plants which are good enough to grow in the flower border, and these will produce more heads each successive year.
Green Globe Artichoke seeds can be grown in either seedbeds or in pots of compost in a warm environment, so if you have a propagator you can sow your seeds between March and April to obtain the best results. We suggest putting two to three seeds per station and 25-30 cm (up to a foot) between rows.
Transplant in June to crop autumn and the following May/June. Sow direct in March for cropping the following year.
